What is this?
This is the second in a series of three activities. All of these activities are set up in the context of a TV show called 'Let's Bake'. These activities have been designed to requite children practise in drawing two-dimensional (2D) shapes and make representations of 3D objects using a range of methods and resources.
This learning activity is intended to support teachers to program learning experiences for children in their usual setting or while they are learning at habitation. Learning activity
- Mario is taking function in a televised baking competition called 'Let's Bake'. He has to design and bake a cake that meets all of the criteria shown below.
- Before you start the activity, read the criteria and check that you lot sympathise the meaning of all of the words in assuming.
- Look at Mario's design for the cake. Does it include all of the required features? Explain your respond.
- Create a different design for the cake that incorporates all of the required features.
Description of Required Features
Size
4 layers
Shape
2 layers must exist cylindrical.
2 layers must be cuboid shaped.
Height
Each layer must be 50% shorter in height than the previous layer. Full tiptop must not exceed 60 cm.
Extension activity

Possible approach to assessing learning
